Uncertainty in the face of a new future.
When asked as a child what do I wanted to be when I grew up, I would always answered… “I want the world to know my name!”. As funny as that sounds nowadays, I must say that deep inside I do want that to happen in one way or another, yet I have develop new interest and grown up as a person. In return this altered my path of life and will surely impact any decision I take further down the road.

The corona-virus poses a looming threat to many of us. Whether that means you are hoarding rice and canned beans, focusing on buying all the toilet paper left on Earth, or just trying not to touch your face, the possible pandemic of COVID-19 is affecting just about everyone’s lives in one way or another. As a consequences, many of the live events and releases of media have either been postponed or cancelled. Today I would like to dwell into advert situations, specifically in the gaming industry, with those examples being E3 2020 and the rising population of active gaming online users.

Spanish-based media industries have an aim of hitting every point of populous contact, yet there is still a massive influence coming from the Anglo-sphere. Subtitled media can be found most of the time flowing in the market, even though on paper this shouldn’t be a lucrative practice. What on earth could drive these industries to promote subtitled media if not for the money? Why is keeping the language of origin relevant to the piece if most of the audience is oblivious to it? Why is there a risk been taken when that language, that word, is not your own?

Knowing your audience is one of the most vital aspects of conducting yourself within the media industry. With the rise of social media I’ve become more aware that the main objectives of companies and personalities is to be ‘like-able’ by their audiences, and even though I despite it, I have been convicted of participating in it as well.
